Steaming Cups Canvas

Two cups in the impressionist manner, the emerald and cobalt of the glazes moving through soft variations of light, steam rising from each surface in a way the medium handles well. The dark beige ground gives the composition its stability, the paint surface carrying enough texture and movement to reward sustained attention. A canvas that looks different depending on where the light falls.Kitchen canvas for homes where the art carries the warmth of the room as much as anything else in it. Works as vertical wall art in a kitchen or dining room where an impressionist canvas with a drinks subject suits the available space, and as green wall art in rooms with a natural palette where the emerald tones earn their place on the wall. A quietly involving piece.
