I do a lot of work in the
Bad Boy collection . Those scenarios come to my head and they have to come out.
I see something in a movie or on
Instagram (especially a lot of Instagram...) get inspired and then I start sketching or immediately behind the iPad. But I also love making pop art.
In the spirit of
Andy Warhol but then drawn. Warhol made polaroids of celebrities (or his own superstars) and looked for my ways to make those photos, those images iconic. What worked. The Marilyn Monroe prints have become legendary.
And there I find inspiration again to place this
Marlon Brando in the current zeitgeist. The Godfather is one of my favorite films because it has everything in it, violence, guts, bravado, the rise, the commercial spirit, honor, family. Warhol was obsessed with celebrities and glamour. I am less so, but I do find symbols interesting.
What does the
Godfather evoke in you? And how does it work if you add a famous fashion brand?
