This portrait was drawn by

Julie de Graag and is part of the collection of the Rijksmuseum. The drawing was made somewhere between 1887 and 1924 and has been included in the public domain so that pop artists like me can do something with it again!

What attracts me in this portrait is the

Dutch sobriety, hard lines and hard look. But well-groomed and dressed up. Nicely centered too.

For me the

Dutch Marilyn Monroe, an ode to the hardworking woman/mother/partner. A woman with whom you can conquer the world. This woman, dug up from the archives, is unknown and lost in history but now she is central to the strong Dutch woman.

And may she be portrayed just as

Andy Warhol did with the world famous Monroe. Both just as important to this world. For sale on poster, canvas and plexiglass -- Determine here which material suits you fits .
