Filmi Keeda '77

Filmi keeda, literally film bug, is what you call someone who cannot leave the cinema alone. This collection is for them. Eleven original illustrated designs built from the visual language of 1970s and 1980s Indian cinema: hand-painted hoarding colour, blocky Devanagari display type, sunburst rays and halftone impact. There is a bullet-belted villain under an orange sunburst, a cabaret dancer framed by a golden lotus, a black and yellow Mumbai taxi tearing through a poster sunset, and a disco king throwing shapes in neon cyan. No studio logos and no star portraits, just the era's own graphic vocabulary rebuilt from scratch.
